The Hatchimals Black Friday deal advertised in the Walmart Black Friday 2016 Ad raises a lot of questions.

The Walmart Black Friday 2016 Ad advertises Hatchimals for $48.88. This is a head-scratcher as Hatchimals are the hottest holiday toy of 2016 and are sold out for the most part.

Walmart's Black Friday event has a dramatic scale. The retail giant operates over 5,000 stores in the United States. For Walmart to decide to feature Hatchimals in their ad needs be based on a the availability of a very large inventory of Hatchimals.

Hatchimals Eggs are on sale for the Black Friday price already now at walmart.com, but to find the deal in stock is difficult. As reported, I managed to find a $48.88 Hatchimal online at walmart.com earlier this week.

Spin Master, maker of Hatchimals, has warned consumers that the demand for Hatchimals is outpacing demand in the Holiday season and sets exceptions for increased supply coming in 2017. Walmart must be hoarding Hatchimals in their warehouses for the Walmart Black Friday sale.

There is no information about how many Hatchimals Eggs each Walmart store will have in stock and if the Hatchimals Black Friday deal will also be available online as it is now, in case there is stock.

Walmart did mention the $48.88 Hatchimals Black Friday deal in the Black Friday 2016 ad announcement, which gives the deal additional attention. Walmart knows based on their decades of Black Friday sales experience, that things can quickly go wrong when extremely popular deals are in short supply in stores.

We have seen physical violence as recently as last year of shoppers fighting for items in Walmart stores. The Hatchimals Black Friday deal is prone to trigger out of control situation. Hatchimals resell for about $150 on Amazon and eBay. This means that not just parents will be gunning for the Hatchimals in the Walmart Black Friday sale, it will be scalpers as well.

Prices of Hatchimals are likely still to increase closer to the Holidays. Depending on the amount of Hatchimals coming into the reseller market after Black Friday, there might be a brief drop in prices.

So far only Walmart has announced Black Friday Hatchimals deals. Target for instance did not decide to advertise Hatchimals in the Target Black Friday 2016 Ad. We have a feeling that the ToysRUs Black Friday 2016 Ad will feature Hatchimals. ToysRUs has a history of offering hard to find holiday toys as doorbusters on Black Friday. Update: The ToysRUs Black Friday 2016 Ad just leaked and does not advertise Hatchimals. Walmart is so far the only store to offer Hatchimals on Black Friday.

The Walmart Black Friday 2016 sale begins midnight on Thanksgiving Day online and at 6pm in stores. You can browse the full 36-pages of the Walmart Black Friday 2016 Ad online.

Walmart will once again open on Thanksgiving Day. The 6pm store opening time is the same as last year. Wristbands for doorbuster deals could be handed out as early as 2 hours before the Walmart Black Friday 2016 sale begins. Ask at your local Walmart store when wristbands have been handed out last year to prepare your shopping schedule.
