What exactly is the future scope for Tesla Motors in an America ruled by Donald Trump? Apparently, it is not as bad as some may think.

Elon Musk of Tesla Motors faces quite an uphill battle now that the impossible has become possible. With Donald Trump in the White House, America’s policies towards the latest technologies and leading-edge industries will be different.

Yet Elon is optimistic since the spark he has lit on the level of electric vehicle production will continue to spread the fire of passion across the greatest country on the face of the earth.

The real question is what will Donald Trump do that may cause certain hindrances in the way? This question is on the lips of all Americans. They await the decisions of a new POTUS who is not known for his softer side.

The energy industry will be deeply affected by Trump’s tenure in office be it for four years or eight years for that matter. Other companies showed varied reactions to Trump’s surprising election.

Vestas Wind Systems fell by 12%. As for Peabody Energy Corporation, it rose by 73%, according to Teslarati. Trump’s main message is that he will revive the use of a dirty fossil fuel such as coal. Also he will turn back the clock regarding pollution control. Climate change, he claims, is a hoax.

Trump is against all career-cancelling environmental regulations. He has promised that he will deliver regarding the “destruction of the tree-huggers’ agenda” within three months of his inauguration to office of the President of the United States.

What all this could mean for Tesla Motors remains to be seen. Yet Elon Musk, its CEO, is hopeful that his hard work and dedicated effort will not go to waste. The amount of backbreaking thinking he has put into the creation of electric cars will endure no matter how many Trumps come and go.

Tesla is basically all about electric cars. Soon it is going to be buying off SolarCity Corp, according to BusinessInsider. The deal has been struck for $2.2 billion. This would make Tesla the largest rooftop installer of solar cells.

This is a popular technique in America for conserving energy on a domestic level. Trump does not have the means to influence the operational terms of this business. The paperwork for legislating this technology was done under President George W. Bush’s leadership.

He was a very conservative Republican president. So Trump won’t be changing anything “Dubya” legislated seeing that it would offend his fellow Republicans.

Then there is the question of renewables. They will get cheaper with time. Solar power is already much less costly than using coal. Despite the loss of incentives, this industry will prosper since it is on the rise.

The meteoric path taken by this lean, clean and green means of energy production is not about to crash on the ground. It will soar even higher and become the wave of the future. The technology will take off and emphasis on the coal industry will not make an iota of difference to it.

The soon-to-be erstwhile POTUS, Barack Obama, spread laws that put fuel economy restrictions on cars and trucks. As for the EPA, it is planning on doubling the efficiency rate within the next eight to nine years, according to Bloomberg.

While this could be delayed or dismantled by Trump, yet its effect on Tesla is like that of a tiny mosquito biting a huge dinosaur. The US drive for electric cars has picked up speed in the past couple of years. It cannot be stopped that easily.

Furthermore, the various states of the US have their own incentives. This of course includes Republican states. They too will have their residents benefit immensely from buying electric cars. It saves up on a ton of cash.

Trump wants to restart work on the Keystone XL pipeline. This was not exactly a favorite scheme for Obama. Yet, paradoxically, business will get much smoother under Trump.

That is what he does since he is a master businessman. The pipeline won’t have as much of an effect on the climate as is being claimed so the environmentalists can cool it for now.

As for building a wall between Mexico and the United States and making the Mexicans pay for it, it will still play off in favor of Tesla Motors. While the automobile industry could face some hitches along the way thanks to Trump’s trumpery, Tesla does most of its manufacturing in Nevada and California.

Tesla’s plans will not be blocked no matter what the Republicans may intend to do. The momentum of the electric car industry is simply too strong to have the tide stemmed anymore.

Elon Musk will become even more richer in the future and his company will benefit transportation across America. That much can be said with surety.
