Marvel and ABC will partner once more to produce the TV show Inhumans which will be premiered on Imax

ABC is already home to Marvel TV. The network ran two successful seasons of Agent Carter and it is showcasing the fourth season for Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The TV show cast has raised its voice that the Marvel studios are not very much involved with the show which is why none of the Avengers have ever been seen in any of its seasons.

The show has been following its own timeline which is made to coincide with the timeline of The Avengers timeline. It looked like the TV show spin-off about Inhumans might finally be the recognition that was desired by the Marvel TV productions.

The Inhumans feature film was set to be produced as a part of phase 3.0 by Marvel and Disney and even a release date for July 12th, 2019 was set. Disney having already pushed the release date to 2019 was not giving any confirmation about the Inhumans project.

Marvel TV took it upon themselves to pitch the idea of a short TV series about the Inhumans. Partnered with ABC, the show is set to premiere during Fall 2017.

Marvel TV and ABC have released the preliminary details about the show. The writer, cast and crew are yet to be confirmed.

It is not confirmed as of yet whether the show is a spin-off of Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which has already established some fair amount of Inhuman characters including the main character Daisy aka The Quake.

The networks have partnered with Imax with the intention of premiering the first two episode based feature on Imax screens across the country.

“This unprecedented alliance represents a bold, innovative approach to launching great TV content for a worldwide audience,” said Ben Sherwood, co-chairman, Disney Media Networks and president, Disney|ABC Television Group.

“It highlights Disney|ABC’s unrelenting commitment to finding new and creative ways to showcasing our very best programming and increasing global engagement and reach.”

“This first-of-its-kind multi-platform production, distribution and marketing agreement brings together Marvel Television’s unique brand of entertainment, ABC’s unparalleled audience and IMAX’s brand and global fanboy demographic,” said IMAX CEO, Rich Gelfond.

“It also takes our decades-long relationship with The Walt Disney Company to a whole new level, jointly breaking new ground in the industry. We are confident our exhibition partners will be excited to work with us on this innovative launch of a series across the IMAX network.”

“We're happy to see this unique deal come together, working with our partners,” said Dan Buckley, President, Marvel Television, Publishing & Brand.

“In an ever-changing world of distribution and consumption, it’s very exciting to be part of a groundbreaking initiative that takes us to the forefront of this evolution.”

The show will premiere later on ABC with the first two episodes included. The show will be shot with Imax cameras.  ABC, Imax and Marvel TV plan to create a joint marketing and promotion plan.
