Here Is Why Apple Did Not Opt For Touch Screen Macs

Apple’s Senior Marketing Vice President has confirmed that Apple is never introducing a touch screen Mac. He actually called out the idea to be absurd. It has long been rumoured even before the iPad was a reality that Apple is working on touch-based Macs.

Fans were very excited over the years with the idea of a touch screen Mac. However, now that concept can be put to rest as Phil Schiller has confirmed the company will never take up such a full touch input Mac.

Schiller spoke with ‘Back Channel’ and called out the idea of a touch-based Mac to be absurd. Schiller explains the company’s decision to ditch the idea. He believes that issues will arise in the way users interact with desktop machines.

No matter how much people tend to disagree it will be difficult to reach over a desk to tap on an iMac. Apple has given us the Touch bar in the MacBook Pro. This indirect touching is to be the most we are going to get out of the company for now.
