Nintendo NES Classic Reportedly in Stock at Walmart Online Store at 5pm Eastern

Walmart is supposed to be on the clock for new Nintendo NES Classic Stock every day until Friday.

Over the weekend and Monday no Nintendo NES Classic edition has been available online. There was a short blimp of inventory of the NES Classic on sale at the Walmart online store on Monday at 5pm ET. This confirms a report on Walmart's Game Center Facebook page that Walmart is offering new Nintendo NES Classic stock every day at 2pm PST, 5pm EST this week through Friday.

Update: Nov. 17: We have talked to a bot user who scored a dozen NES Classic yesterday. We also got the tips and tricks of a fair and square deal hunter who managed to buy a NES Classic at Walmart without the use of a bot. Humans can win against bots, but it is hard. Find out everything you should do to improve your chances to purchase a NES Classic.

Update Nov. 16: Walmart has reconfirmed in comments on the Game Center Facebook page that the are offering new NES Classic stock each day this week at 5pm ET (2pm PT). Yesterday the inventory must have sold out so quickly that real-time trackers did not spot it. We might have an explanation why the NES Classic sold out so fast: A new shopping Bot named Tai Ding targets Walmart buying NES in miliseconds

Get your browser ready again at 5pm ET and load the NES Classic page at walmart.com

Resellers on the Amazon marketplace offer the NES Classic starting today at $230 plus $5.21 shipping.

Update: It's after 5pm ET on Tuesday and the NES Classic did not show up in stock, but the $9.99 Controller just did briefly. This daily 5pm restocking of the NES Classic is apparently not consistent. Some shoppers report that they had one in their cart, but they lost it.

This is though weird as real-time tracking tools did not see it. There is a chance that it was in stock for less than a minute and the real-time trackers such as zoolert only check every minute. As the supply situation is extremely bad, it makes sense to check Wednesday at 5pm again at walmart.com. If again there is no NES stock, then Walmart's Facebook post is false.

The reseller offers start at $385 plus shipping for the NES Classic on amazon.com.

This is worth a try. Get your browser ready and load the NES Classic page at walmart.com. Don't get irritated by the $199.99 price. This was the last marketplace offer available for the NES mini. A pro tip is to use in parallel the Walmart shopping app. The news about the 5pm NES Classic sale at walmart.com has started to spread.

The traffic spike will be noticeable and the Walmart shopping basket will be tested. I have seen some Hatchimals escape while in the Walmart basket. This happens when lots of shoppers put an item into the cart at the same time. The source of the daily NES Classic sale on Walmart stems from this Facebook post on Walmart's Game Center Facebook page.

Earlier today, GameStop has sold the $104.99 Nintendo NES Classic Strategy Edition Bundle, which contains the Nintendo NES Classic Edition and the book Playing With Power: Nintendo NES Classics. This is one of the NES Classic accessories you can get for the NES mini. GameStop has listed several NES Classic Bundles that might be in stock any time.

To score a NES Classic, you need to use real-time stock tracker tools. Read our NES Classic buyer's guide to find out how. GameStop does not offer in-stock notifications and the in-stock notification on the Nintendo NES Classic Edition page on amazon.com is too slow for ultra-high demand items like the NES Classic.

The $59.99 Nintendo NES Classic Edition console launched on November 11 in stores and online. The supply was extremely constraint in stores and especially online. Even NES accessories are hard to come by.

Resellers on the Amazon marketplace offer the NES Classic starting at $258.99 plus shipping.

Nintendo has issued a statement on Twitter on November 11 acknowledging the shortage of the NES Classic Edition. "The Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition system is a hot item, and we are working hard to keep up with consumer demand. There will be a steady flow of additional systems through the holiday shopping season and into the new year. Please contact your local retailers to check availability."

The shrunk NES console, retailing for $59.99 list price, features the classic Nintendo NES controller many geeks have grown up with. The retro console comes pre-installed with 30 classic NES games including Super Mario Bros., Pac-Man, Metroid, Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda and Kirby's Adventures. The NES Classic Edition system is a miniaturized version of the groundbreaking NES, originally released in 1985.
