China Says iPhone Sales Will Be Affected if Trump Is Adamant On Trade War

The American election and especially Donald trump’s victory has certainly made leaders all over the world raise their eyebrows. But who would ever think the elections would affect iPhone buyers in China?

As per latest reports a state run Chinese newspaper has reported that China will be harsh on the iPhone if Trump wishes to wage a trade war. Donald during his campaign made it very clear that if he won he would take a tough stance on trade so that manufacturing in United States was promoted.

He plans to apply a 45 percent tariff on Chinese imports. If he really does plan to continue with his tough agenda many American companies such as Apple and Boeing are bound to suffer.

The newspaper has also criticized Trump’s campaign as to be reckless and that he should be ready to suffer the consequences. Since the newspaper which has reported all this is State –run it may be that all these statements are coming straight from the government.

The irony is even if Trump does decide to go with his campaign slogan he doesn’t have the authority to do so. The newspaper has also pointed out this fact. Media has reported that the Chinese President Xi Jinpoing had a telephonic conversation with Donald Trump and stressed that cooperation was the right choice for both countries.
