OLED iPhone 8 To Sit on Top of iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus

The new iPhone 8 with OLED screen will mark the introduction of a new premium line says analyst.

Apple will keep the iPhone 7 design around for 2017. The iPhone 7S will look like the current iPhone 7S, but have the typical performance bump. The rumored OLED iPhone with new design will create a new premium iPhone line sitting on top. This new positioning of the iPhone 8 comes from a new KGI analyst report seen by 9to5Mac.

The 5.2-inch iPhone 8 has reportedly no bezel and screen wraps over the edges. The iPhone 8 is rumored to have a complete new design. It makes sense for Apple to not drop the iPhone 7 design. It is successful and it is actually pretty could. It fixes all issues the iPhone 6 design had.

The new iPhone 8 could be the rumored iPhone Pro line. Apple needs to find somehow a consistent model scheme to be not confuse customers. So instead of iPhone 8 or 10th anniversary iPhone, Apple might introduce next year a 5.2" iPhone 7S Pro, 5.5" iPhone 7S Plus and 4.8" iPhone 7S. It is though still too early too call.

Another new iPhone report claims that Apple is working on augmented reality to be integrated in the iPhone 2017 line-up. According to a report on Business Insider, Apple is working on an iPhone camera app that supports augmented reality functions. The Apple AR team also works on augmented reality smart-glasses says a report on Bloomberg.

Apple seems to have an easier time to innovate the iPhone, but fails pushing new grounds in computing. The new MacBook Pro with its fiddly Touch Bar has not impressed most Apple fans. The company has apparently no idea what the next big step is for laptops and desktop computers. Apple execs stated that touch-screens are not an option for Apple. This understandable as OS X is not a touchscreen OS, but then why not just enable the OS to support touch?
