The new classic Jaguar XKSS was revealed today in LA motor show

Jaguar has just debuted the first genuine Jaguar XKSS which is totally hand built by experts. The world debut was made at the Petersen Museum in Los Angeles.

The car is supposes to be an exact replicated model of 1957 Jag-uar Land Rover Classic’s expert craftsmanship. There will be none models which will be built on this model’s base.

These are supposed to go on sale in the year 2017. The latest advertisement by company showcases Jaguar XKSS driven by Jaguar Classic Engineering Manager Kev Riches in Los Angeles.

The Jaguar XKSS has everything that you can look for in a Jaguar Classic. Starting from the classy shape to the Sherwood Green painted body, everything screams classy and iconic.

The original Jaguar XKSS is often referred as the first supercar too. Originally only 16 examples of the original Jaguar XKSS were built. However in 1957, a fire engulfed nine cars which were earmarked for export to North America. Thus only nine cars of the model were delivered.

This year the company had announced that they are off to build the nine lost cars in order to revive Jaguar XKSS for classic car collectors.

The new one-off XKSS which is presented in the Los Angeles today will be now used as a blue print for the next nine units to be built. The car was formed after the research of 18 months. It is assumed that each of these classic cars will be sold at a price above 1 million Pounds each.

The Jaguar Classic Engineering team had to go through various procedures to get the true picture of this classic model.

They collected scanned pictures of the model from various angels and various sides to bring about the real design on paper. The body is hand made from Magnesium alloy just like the classic of 1957. It will have a 3.4 liter six cylinder Jaguar D type 262 bhp engine.
