Everyone who has been waiting for the Generation 2 Pokemon to be introduced into Pokemon Go since the launch in January. The game itself has taken quite a bit of a strange path, going through different changes to try to stay relevant, all without actually doing many changes.

Pokemon Go picked up in popularity again thanks to its Halloween frenzy, but it has been a couple of weeks and people are starting to fall off again. Stil, there is another event planned for after Thanksgiving and another for December.

There have been rumors that there will be a massive update in December, but it looks like this won't be happening anymore, according to iTech Post.

The hype for Gen 2 Pokemon came when someone said that over 100 new Pokemon will arrive soon thanks to a leak in the patch code, but it looks like those chances are pretty slim.

Pokemon Go will probably release the trading feature before they add new Pokemon, and that has been embedded into the code for months. The trading feature is a must-have to continue the success of the game and will probably make people start playing it again.

The Player v. Player battle is also supposed to come into the game soon. This will be a significant change that Niantic will use to bring people back to the game. Add that to the fact that the Gen 1 Pokemon haven't even been completely released yet, and you likely won't see the Gen 2 ones.
