Colbert: The New Apple Book Delivers Something Truly Extraordinary

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert makes fun of the $300 Apple Book. Watch the video below.

Apple introduced a $299 Apple book featuring photos of Apple's products. The expensive coffee table book is an obvious target for ridicule. The Late Show with Stephen Colbert did just that last night. In a clip fake Apple employees talk about the book as if it would be a new iPhone. It's very entertaining. One line in the clip says: "It's 450 pages of high-resolution images of Apple products you probably already have in your basement."

This 450 pages thick book showcases the Apple designs has made over the past twenty years. The book is named "Designed by Apple in California." The book is dedicated to the memory of Steve Jobs and is great, but expensive gift for Apple fans.

The Photographer behind the photo book is Andrew Zukerman. He is famous for his Creature book and sequels. "Designed by Apple in California" also carries Zukerman’s signature style. The whole book has bold imagery against white backgrounds. The book is a linen-bound hardcover volume. It is available in two sizes. The smaller one costs $199 and the larger one $299 with sizes 10.2’’x12.75’’ and 13’’x16.25’’. The Apple Book sells at select Apple stores and online.
