The Vernee Apollo runs on MediaTek's Helio X25 2.5GHz deca-core chipset and uses the powerful Mali-T880 GPU. The Mali-T880 is making the Vernee Apollo a powerhouse for virtual reality. Vernee is hailing the Vernee Apollo as the world’s first VR flagship based on MediaTek platform.

Other revealed specifications of the Apollo include 5.5 inch 2K, 2560x1440px, 541ppi, 64GB eMMC 5.1 and 21.0MP SONY IMX230 camera sensor. If Vernee will still be offering the Apollo for $398 remains to be seen.
