On Friday morning the first day of auto show took place at the LA Convention Center with automakers from all over the world

The Los Angeles Auto Show started yesterday morning at the LA Convention Center. Now the show is open for all public. Auto manufacturers from around the globe have brought their best cars to be displayed at the event.

Car enthusiasts can now look at all sorts of cars, simulators, different tires and even take some out for a spin. But before you head out to attend the vent let us round up all the best offerings at the LA auto show.

The show has everything from SUVs, to latest and exciting concept cars to flashy convertibles and even staid station wagons. The must see or the most significant cars of the show include:   

Alfa Romeo 2018 Stelvio

One of the most talked about cars at the LA Auto Show was Alfa Romeo’s new Stelvio, which is the company's first SUV. With this SUV Alfa Romeo has set the bar very high for itself. Variations of the Stelvio model contain the Stelvio Ti and the Stelvio Quadrifoglio, both of which was also featured.

Both models feature an all-new full aluminum bodies along with a 2-liter, direct-injection turbo engine. The engine is capable of producing more than 280 horsepower which allows it to achieve a top speed of 144 miles per hour.

However the Stelvio Quadrifoglio is believed to be the top-of-the-line variant of the SUV. This variant is equipped with a 2-liter, direct-injection turbo engine, which is capable of producing 505 horsepower, and can take the car from 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds. The Stelvio will reach US dealerships this very month. 

Subaru Viziv-7 concept

Not one to remain behind Subaru unveiled an SUV concept for the entire family. The concept named the Viziv-7 is the largest vehicle by Subaru as of yet. The Viziv-7 concept has the profile of a seven- or eight passenger family hauler.

According to Subaru the production ready version will be released for sale in the first half of 2019 and will be sold exclusively in North America. The concept is a reflection of Subaru’s future plans to project sales from 600,000-plus this year to 800,000 by 2020.

Jaguar I-Pace concept

Jaguar also brought a concept to be unveiled at the LA auto show. The I-Pace electric crossover concept by Jaguar was unveiled at the Hollywood sound stage. In their presentation jaguar first opted for an unveiling in virtual reality, and then the real model.

At first look you can see the Jaguar I-Pace concept has the potential of becoming a breakthrough vehicle. The new concept combines a luxury SUV vehicle with an all-electric powerhouse and may rival the likes of Tesla.

According to jaguar they have built electric motors into both the axles which are capable of producing more than 200 horsepower each. While the battery pack built into the floor of the car has a range per charge of 220 miles.

Mercedes-Maybach S650 Cabriolet

Mercedes’ offering for the LA auto show was their luxurious Mercedes-Maybach S650 Cabriolet. The super-posh S650 Cabriolet was unveiled at the show under the banner of the Mercedes-Maybach sub-brand. S650 Cabriolet is inspired from the S600 sedan and features similar traits like the coupe resembling soft top and a dynamically sleek design.

Mercedes-Maybach will only produce 300 of the limited edition S650 convertibles and only 75 will come on US soil. The S650 is powered with a 6-liter V-12 bi-turbo engine, which is capable of offering 600 horsepower equipped with a seven-speed automatic transmission.

The interior of the convertible in turn features a cushy four-seat cabin upholstered with leather and unique trim lines accents. A single Maybach S650 convertible will have a price tag of $300,000. 

Honda Civic Si

Honda on the other hand brought its new Honda Civic Si to be unveiled at the opening of the LA Auto Show. Although the Honda Civic Si falls in a middle zone when compared to the other cars in term of power, its new design makes it incredibly hotter than the previous standard Civic.

Still the Civic Si is not as pricey as the new Honda Type R. The new Honda Si will have a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with double the horsepower of the current Civic. The Si will arrive in the market by next spring. 

Toyota Scion C-HR

Toyota always trying to find ways to up its rival Honda, brought their all- new Scion C-HR on the stage via driving it on for the introduction during the Toyota press conference. The Scion C-HR is expected to be a strong rival for all the contenders in the small crossover segment.

The all-new C-HR will be powered by a 2-liter four-cylinder engine which is capable of producing 144 horsepower, while coupled with a continuously variable transmission. A CVT option for the transmission is also available.

2017 Mini Countryman

Mini unveiled their all-new2017 Mini Countryman an all-wheel drive version of the iconic car. The new Mini by the British brand was unveiled during the BMW AG Mini press conference at the LA auto show. The Countryman will be the largest Mini ever.

The Countryman was first introduced back in 2010 and now by 2017 they have increased the model’s length by 7.8 inches overall. Even the wheelbase has been increased by 2.9 inches. The new Mini will have a three-cylinder, turbo-charged engine capable of producing 134-horsepower.
