Donald Trump’s meeting with The NY Times has been rescheduled after his earlier Twitter outburst against the newspaper. That earlier session had led to a cancelling of any appointment.

Donald Trump was all set to talk with the representatives of The New York Times recently when the whole deal was called off abruptly. He had delivered a rant on Twitter which attacked the newspaper.

Yet now a rapprochement has been made and “The Donald” (as some of his admirers call him) is all set to have a word or two with the newspaper reporters soon.

There will be executives, reporters and columnists who will be present to listen to Donald Trump talk about this and that now that the matter has been cleared up. It had apparently been a small misunderstanding.

Trump’s staff has informed the newspaper heads that the President-elect will soon be meeting with The NY Times top brass in a tete-a tete and warm conversation in order to settle things once and for all regarding where he stands on certain issues.

After meeting in an impromptu and off-the-record conversation, Donald Trump will be having an interview that will be published.

Donald Trump had spoken out against the newspaper earlier on Twitter. He had raged on regarding how the heads had changed the terms and conditions.

In the tweet, he also spoke of how it was not nice of the newspaper heads and he called the media platform a failing enterprise. However, it appears to be the case that the newspaper heads had no inkling of this.

They approached the President-elect and informed him that no such changes had been approved of from their side. In the final analysis, Trump and the newspaper heads agreed to a new deal according to which they would meet for both an off-the-record talk and an official interview.

Trump further tweeted that the newspaper had always cast him in the role of a villain and had spread nasty and vile lies about him. He even said that the complaints of the public regarding the newspaper were at a peak.

Donald Trump implied that this should have been obvious right from the start. You didn’t have to shout it out from the rooftops. The meetings of Trump are to take place at his home turf where he will be at an advantage. This is no other place than the Trump Tower.

What Mr. Trump failed to make clear was which particular stories regarding his personality and policies rubbed him the wrong way. Mr. Trump has a history of finger-pointing and he especially likes to blame the media for everything and anything that goes wrong.
