A Benchmark Comparison of Pixel/Pixel XL VS Apple iPhone 7/ iPhone 7 Plus

We will be giving you a benchmark comparison of Pixel/Pixel XL VS iPhone7/iPhone 7 Plus. Google has done an impressive job with the Pixel/Pixel XL phones. The recent event held by Google has actually gained much attention which will certainly be beneficial for Pixel Phones.

However from the performance perspective Apple does not have much to worry about. The early benchmarks received from Geekbench 4 tell us that Apple does not have to worry as the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus both beat the Pixel duo in single and multi-core tests.

What is more surprising is that even old hardware such the iPhone SE and iPhone 6S outperform the Pixel duo. Google’s new hardware has been manufactured by HTC. From a software/hardware perspective the hardware is doing well.

But for those who are stricter on performance the real deal is on how the device performs. Below are some results obtained from the Geekbench 4 testing:

• The Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones returned a single-core score of around 1550, and a multi-core return of around 4000.

• Apple’s iPhone 7 showed a multi-core score of around 5500, and a single-core score of around 3500

The Apple results are much higher than what the Google hardware can ever each. Even the Apple SE and iPhone 6S beat the Pixel phone in single-core performance.

This means Apple’s hardware in general is more powerful and has a higher raw processing capability than Google. These results do not confirm as to how the Pixel Phones will perform in the real world but the results can certainly be kept in mind while ordering.
