Toyota hopes to increase the range of EV by 15 percent

Toyota Motor Corporation is claiming that they are working on a battery that is supposed to increase the percentage of mileage of EVs by 15 percent. According to the company this battery will allow the cars to have a range more than this.

The companies that are offering EVs use Lithium-ion battery technology as the main technology in their batteries. Toyota however is looking to make things much better than this. The task of increasing the quality and timing of lithium-ion battery is being taken pretty seriously by Tesla motors and Toyota motors.

The batteries are really good in use but have a limited capacity thus provide a limited amount of mileage too. Increasing the size of battery takes a lot of space in cars which also makes them heavy making them improper to use. 

Toyota which is Japan’s biggest auto maker has successful created gasoline-electric hybrid battery technology that is getting debuted in a few months. The batteries will be used in the plug-in hybrid Prius Prime.

The Prius is most famous hybrid all around the world and Toyota has been working since its first release to make it better. The company is also aiming to release an all-electric car by year 2020, according to Reuters.

According to the Toyota correspondent, the Toyota engineers are working on the module of lithium ions. Soon they will be able to distinguish how the ions actually work and will be able to make more use of these ions in order to produce energy.

The latest batteries are facing problems such as overheating as well. Thus a new technology might be able to fight with all these kinds of things too while increasing the overall range of EVs.
