The Hatchimals are a runaway success for toy maker Spinmaster.

The Hatchimals are the hardest to find Holiday gifts of the year. Walmart sold Hatchimals on Thanksgiving in their Black Friday event. Not all stores had stock available. One of our readers was at a Walmart store with 20 Hatchimals in stock. Another Black Friday shopper was not so lucky. The Walmart store he was at had no Hatchimals.

Update Nov 26: Jet.com and ToysRus just sold Hatchimals online for $89.99 and $69.99 respectively. It is possible that Walmart will offer $48.88 Hatchimals today again at walmart.com. The listing is still live.

Parents in pursue of Hatchimals had another chance this morning to buy Hatchimals on walmart.com. The store had inventory of select Hatchimals that was sold out in less than 3 minutes.

An opportunity to get a free Hatchimals this week is available from Spin Master, maker of the Hatchimals toy. The company is giving away 6 Hatchimals among people signing up for their newsletter.

Even the manufacturer of the Hatchimals has to scramble to get their hands on Hatchimals. To only giving away six Hatchimals is pretty poor for a company that has a viral Holiday toy of the year on their hands. Consumers interested to try their luck can sign-up for the Hatchimals Giveaway on spinmaster.com.

The Spin Master Hatchimals sweepstakes ends on Monday, Nov. 28. The winners are likely to receive the Hatchimals in time for Christmas. The Spin Master shop has a Black Friday sale with 20% discounts, excluding Hatchimals of course.

Hatchimals sell on Amazon.com for over $200. Some made a ton of money with Hatchimals, buying them in bulk in October like these two brothers.

Hatchimals are magical creatures that live inside of eggs. Each egg contains one of two interactive Hatchimals. Kids need to care for the toy while it is still inside the egg and its eyes will light up as it makes cute sounds, telling you how it’s feeling.

Once your children have played with it enough, you’ll see rainbow eyes. That means its time to hatch. Hatchimals can’t hatch on their own. Kid's touch encourages them to peck their way out of the egg.

Now you get to raise your furry Hatchimal through 3 stages, from baby to toddler, to kid. Your Hatchimal sings “Hatchy Birthday” each time it enters a new stage. Teach yours to walk, dance, play games and more.

It will even repeat what you say in its own voice. Hatchimals run on two AA LR6 batteries that are included. The video below released by Spin Master explains in the detail how Hatchimals work and how to play with them.

Spin Master has underestimated the demand for Hatchimals in the United States. The clever designed Hatchimals push all the right buttons to become a viral hot Holiday toy.

The company has warned consumers that the supply of Hatchimals is extremely constraint and the situation will not ease until early 2017. Many kids have to be prepared to not get a Hatchimals this year. Read our Hatchimals Buyer's Guide to help you get a Hatchimals in time for Christmas.

It is understandable that retailers want a piece of the pie that scalpers are getting for the hottest Holiday toy of 2016. $89.99 is pushing it for this toy, that is not without criticism.
