TrueCar.com claims Black Friday is actually the fifth best day for discounted car deals

In recent years Black Friday has become synonymous with discounts and deals when shopping for cars during the holiday season. The consumer holiday is considered the best day to get some major discounts but new data claims otherwise.

A new entity claims Black Friday may not actually be the best time for discounted deals on cars. TrueCar.com claims it is better to stay in bed rather than face the crowds on this holiday if you are shopping for cars. Data on the site shows Black Friday is actually only the fifth-best day to get a heavily discounted car.

This edifying data from last year can be found on TrueCar.com. The data goes one step further in besmirching Black Friday and says December 31st is actually the best day to get a new car.

On the last day of the year car prices can be expected to drop for more than 8.8 percent from their normal sales price, according to AutoBlog. This phenomenon occurs because dealers are looking to get rid of old cars to make space for the new.

Especially on the last day of the year they rather wash off their hands from the previous year’s model even if the cars are brand new. Such a technique by dealers also boosts their year-end sales numbers. The second best day for discounts on cars is the 2nd of December.

The next best day to buy cars during the holiday season with numerous discounts is the weekend after Thanksgiving.

This indicates the discounts and promotions scouted out for Black Friday get better when the shoppers wait to reach the dealerships. At number four the best day for buying cars is the Friday just before Christmas.
