Target Stores started to show NES Classic inventory on Sunday Nov 27. Shoppers are heading out early morning lining up at Target. Updated.

Update: Nov. 30: Target stores still get daily NES inventory. The inventory levels are still very low compared to Sunday. A new store will be carrying the NES Classic soon. Think Geek will be getting NES soon according to the novelty retailer.

Update Nov. 29: The Cyber Monday discount at Target is over, but even without the 15% off, the NES Classic is a hot item to find at a Target Store. We did some sampling of inventory levels of various Zip codes around the country.

The NES stock is much lower than on Sunday and Monday. We have seen some stores carry a dozen, while others just have one or two. Most stores do not have the NES in stock.

Today shoppers need to be very lucky to find a local Target store with inventory on the Brick Seek tool. Read on below how to find the NES in Stock at Target.

Update Cyber Monday, 5am ET: It is time to check the NES Classic inventories at your local Target stores as lines for the NES start very early. We have checked Target stores for NES inventory in New York and several stores have the NES in stock. The College Point location has 17 NES Classic in Stock according to Brick Seek.

Target started to have the Nintendo NES Classic in stock at select stores on Sunday. The Brick Seek inventory levels suggests Target has received more NES Classic inventory from Nintendo. The 15% sitewide Cyber Monday discount does still apply on Monday and customers can shave off $9 of the $59.99 retail price of the NES.

Update: A shopper just confirmed in a comment on the discussion forum on zoolert that the Nintendo NES Classic is eligible for the Target Cyber Monday 15% discount. She even saved 20% because of the RedCard discount: "Thanks to this website and inventory tracker websites I was able to score a console from Target this morning. And I got it for 15% off Cyber Monday + extra 5% off for using my Target credit card. Felt like I hit the jackpot. Don't give up hope yet everyone. It took me several weeks but I finally got on in my hand."

How to find the NES in Stock at a local Target

The NES Classic stock at a local Target Stores can be checked with the Target Inventory Checker at Brick Seek. The Target DPCI code for the NES is 207-29-0180. Shoppers can enter the DPCI and a zip code at Brick Seek to list inventory levels of Target stores in the area.

The site says to pull inventory directly from store's systems. The numbers might be skewed due to theft, lost items, and problems with their inventory management system. Brick Seek shows that 10% of Target stores have NES in stock. 

Brick Seek appears to work extremely well confirmed by a NES buyer. A comment on zoolert: "I just wanna say how accurate brickseek is. Two targets near me showed a few in stock. Went to the first one at 6am and there were already 15 or so people in line so I went to the second one which only had 2 and I was the first in line. Myself and another guy were able to get the 2 they had. I checked brickseek immediately after and it said that store was sold out. So brickseek is very accurate and timely. Keep checking! They'll be out there!"

NES Classic buyers got early morning on Sunday to get in line for tickets at Target stores for the NES according to comments on Zoolert.

This is the first time a store is selling the Nintendo NES Classic since Walmart's online flash sales. The NES might be in stock at your Target store. If it is, you even get 15% off because of the Target Cyber Monday sitewide discount. With the Target RedCard you get another 5% off.

Scoring a NES Classic today at a Target Store not only gets you the coveted console but also at a sales price of $50 and below. The Target Cyber Monday 2016 sale launched at around 3am EST on Sunday.

The sitewide 15 discount is explicitly available for video game consoles. We have confirmed that the PS4 and Xbox One S are selling for $212.49. The NES Classic should be eligible too. We can't confirm it as Target does not sell the NES online, but refers customers to check stores on this page.

The $59.99 Nintendo NES Classic Edition console launched on November 11 in stores and online. The supply was extremely constraint in stores and especially online. Right now all stores are sold out of the retro 80s TV gaming console.

Even NES accessories are hard to come by. Resellers offer the NES on the Amazon marketplace are $230 and up. 

Nintendo had now two weeks time to replenish retailers with NES Classic Edition consoles. There is no update from Nintendo on the status of NES supply.

On launch day Nintendo said: "The Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition system is a hot item, and we are working hard to keep up with consumer demand. There will be a steady flow of additional systems through the holiday shopping season and into the new year. Please contact your local retailers to check availability."

The Target inventory of the NES is the first evidence of a new shipment of NES Classic Edition arriving in the United States.

The palm-sized NES console, retailing for $59.99 list price, features the classic Nintendo NES controller many geeks have grown up with. The retro console comes pre-installed with 30 classic NES games including Super Mario Bros., Pac-Man, Metroid, Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda and Kirby's Adventures. The NES Classic Edition system is a miniaturized version of the groundbreaking NES, originally released in 1985.

The NES Classic Edition comes only with a single wired controller. There are 3rd party controllers and accessories that make the NES more fun to use. Gamers can get additional controllers and even wireless controllers.
