The car will have a new look and extended range among many other things

The luxury car maker BMW is all set to launch the latest version of i3. BMW has stepped in the EV technology and now the company is aiming to make it better than ever.

The car is supposed to have a redefined shape, probably longer in shape and a new range as well. These days all the auto makers are working hard to introduce the EVs that have more and more range than others. This makes them easier to take them on longer journeys.

BMW is going to work on the front and rear of the electric vehicle, according to Reuters. The company is also giving the battery a new battery which is supposed to increase its range by many folds.

The car is currently providing a range of 300 kms. The new aim of BMW is to provide a range that will be more than 300 kms for sure. The paper hat was published by company stated that the increase in range will be less than 50 percent though.

BMW was already pinning on the situation of whether to deal with new EV projects or not. The i3 got a response from market and its 25,000 units were sold last year.

However the company was aiming for a much better selling response than this number. The project has been an expensive one from the start for BMW as well.

The company opted for 50 percent increased range of battery in order to boost the sales this year. It did help the i3 to get sold in a good perimeter.

However more steps should be taken by the company to make sure that it’s EV gets popularity among the people who want to buy one.
