The site and app will be launched by the ex-Top Gear stars Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May.

The grand trio of stars Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May are set to launch a new site. The website and its requisite app are all about cars and is already being called the ‘Facebook of cars for fans’.

The site called Drive Tribe may be launched by the ex-Top Gear trio today. If successful the site will be worth millions and rake in a lot of money for the car loving trio.

Reports have emerged that Clarkson, Hammond and May, are also in talks with actor and car enthusiast Ewan McGregor to join the website and app.

Other celebs and race car drivers are reportedly being pitched for a membership on the Drive Tribe. The site will reportedly feature videos, articles and other interactive material on cars. 

A source close to the matter told The Sun that all three of the hosts have already invested huge sums into the site, since it success could mean a fortune for them.

Therefore the trio are also taking the matter quite seriously and working relentlessly to make it worth the fans while.

For this reason having an A-list star like Ewan McGregor on the site would be a big coup for them. The aim of launching the Drive Tribe is to make it a top online resource for car fans from around the world. 

Tech entrepreneur Ernesto Schmitt will be the CEO of the Drive Tribe. Schmitt also serves as a co-founder of the site along with the famous trio. The decision to move forward with the site came after their new show The Grand Tour now on streaming TV service Amazon Prime became a hit.
