The Fiesta will get a crossover type Active trim cylinder activation.

Ford just shared the pictures of Fiesta ST-Line on Twitter and Ford Europe has disclosed rest of the lineup that is related to this car as well. The details included four trim lines.

One of the four trims introduced is known as Active. This is the clear cut idea of the fact that any car can be converted in a crossover. Ford hasn’t released any kind of technical specification of this crossover however a few obvious design changes can be seen pretty easily.

The cross over gets a black plastic fender flare, new side skirts and bumper trim. The bumper trim along with side skirts also have gotten a skid plate inspired metal looking trim. The roof rails have been raised in this model too.

The Active trim might or might not come to the US. Ford had announced Fiesta based Eco sport earlier on which is a subcompact crossover. This car will be coming to the US markets for sure.

Along with the ST-Line, two more trims named Vignale and Titanium are also introduced by Ford. The Vignale has fashionable and luxurious kind of look. The Titanium model will be seen in America as well.

Along with this Fiesta will be available in European region in both gasoline and diesel engines which will be five and six speed transmissions.

Another highlight of the news is that Ford has introduced a new engine for the Fiesta. This is a 1.0 liter Eco Boost three cylinder engine, according to AutoBlog.

The engine will use the feature of cylinder deactivation however Ford did not reveal a lot about it. This engine will be fuel efficient and will make the cross over a fuel saving, budgeted ride for sure. The Fiesta is supposed to arrive somewhere in year 2017.
