The testing of Ford’s autonomous cars in Europe will begin in the coming year.

Like many other big brands, Ford is also working on the autonomous car technology these days. The company has worked on various developmental parts of the system and now is in the phase of testing it.

This is the reason that Ford will now be moving to Europe in order to test the autonomous car technology made by them. They are planning vigorously to launch an autonomous car for ride hailing and cabbing system from the year 2021.

In order to make this hailing system purposeful, the company will have to look for a number of opportunities to make the trails successful all over Europe, according to TechCrunch.

The Trails of autonomous car by Ford will begin in Engineering Center in Essex, U.K, which will be followed by additional testing and observation at the Research & Advanced Engineering facilities in both Aachen along with Cologne in Germany.

According to Ford the teams at the research and testing locations are already all set with company’s upcoming autonomous car technology. This is the reason that the choice of testing sites became easy for the company.

According to Thomas Lukaszewicz, the greater range of traffic types and a number of roads for testing in the chosen sites will provide a good date on the system.

Ford is already in process of testing autonomous car technology in U.S. there, they are planning to launch the self-driving cars in the coming five years. This new trail in Europe will surely help in paving way for this kind of technology in this region too.

The American Automaker is planning to produce SAE Level 4 Self-driving cars in the coming 5 years. According to SEA level, 0 means no automation while 5 means a full automated car.
