The software is available for everyone who can read the code is a new technology startup that has recently provided a software for self-driving cars. The software made by them is excellent for semi-self-driving cars.

As US regulations have allowed the usage of semi self-driving cars in different states which has led many technology companies to develop software and applications for this purpose.

This Wednesday the company named announced on its official website they have open sourced the software code and robotics research of their driver’s assistance system.

The company was all set to sell the software in a few days however due to the new regulations of National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) they were not able to do so.

The open source project will allow the and its founder George Hotz who is a well-known hacker to introduce the technology without needing to take permissions from traffic authorities.

The code is available for absolutely free of cost but it will run on a few selected models of vehicles including the Honda Civic and Acura ILX. These two models were used by while testing and developing the software as well.

Hotz has also posted a video online in which he gave the tutorial of this software. It showed a mobile phones encased in a 3D printed state that mounts on windshield of car. The mobile is used as an online guide of the software.

Hotz has also cautioned its users in the video and in its official message online that this technology is in its initial stage, according to Engadget.

The software being provided by is an “alpha quality software” which means that it is in the initial stages of development and require loads of aspects to work on. Thus any user, using this software will have to use it on their own risk.
