How early do customers have to line up at ToysRUs stores on Sunday to buy a NES Classic or a Hatchimals Egg? Find the answer to that question and other tips below. Updated.

We have been out with the story that ToysRUs will have Hatchimals on Sunday before it was big news. The hype doubled as ToysRUs stores will also have the hard to find Nintendo NES Classic in stock on Sunday.

Breaking Update:

We have just released our latest reports about Hatchimals and NES Classic sale at ToysRUs:

Hatchimals on sale at ToysRUs stores, the latest

NES Classic on sale at ToysRUS stores, the latest

Update 2am ET Sunday: The lines at the ToysRUS stores started Saturday afternoon. We just got an updated from a shopper in line at a ToysRUs in Newport News, Virginia. The line started at 2pm and now there are over 40 in line. "I am 15th in a line of about 40 people now at 9:30pm," Chas told I4U News in an email. The ToysRUs manager told the line that the store has about 30 Hatchimals and 30 Nintendo NES Classic in stock.

Some ToysRUs stores gave out tickets as early as 11pm on Saturday. Customers could go home with the ticket and get a nice sleep in their cosy bed and return at 8am to collect their NES and/or Hatchimals. This ticket procedure was reported from an I4U News reader in line at the TRU store in Boynton beach, Florida.

The parking lots at ToysRUs stores will be packed on Sunday morning with customers trying to get their hands on a Hatchimals or Nintendo NES. ToysRUs stores. The demand will be by far outpacing the inventory. Customers need to be prepared that they will miss out on these hard to find Holiday toys.

ToysRUs is imposing a one per customer limit for both items. This might hold off some prospectors, but at a $150 profit on each of these two Holiday gifts, there will be lots of resellers in line, competing with parents.

The expectations of customers that all ToysRUs stores will have NES and Hatchimals in stock will likely not be met, despite reports saying otherwise. Warehouse distribution is like a living organism. Things always can go wrong and shipments are not arriving in time. Shopper who plan to try their luck at ToysRUs on Sunday should read on.

How early does the Line at ToysRUs start

Update: Our prediction was correct. The line at select ToysRUs stores started Saturday afternoon and shoppers are spending the night to get a chance on a NES or Hatchimals. As stated above, the line at a Virginia TRU store started at 2pm Saturday.

Customers need to be prepared to spend the night to have fighting chance to score a Hatchimals Egg or a Nintendo NES Classic. The time the line starts will be very much depend on the location of the TRU store. The Lines for Sunday will start earlier at ToysRUs store in metropolitan areas.

NES and Hatchimals hunters are already now getting up at 5am and earlier each day to try to be first in line for the very sparse inventories at Target and Walmart stores. These shoppers use Brick seek to find out each morning if their local stores got restocked. This is still an insider method and not widely known. The ToysRUs sale of Hatchimals and NES Classic has grown within 24 hours to a big news headline.

This is on top of the attention the ToysRUs weekly ad will generate. The new weekly ad will be in the mail this weekend at most households across the nation.

ToysRUs NES and Hatchimals Updates

We will cover the sales start of the NES Classic and the Hatchimals throughout Sunday and provide updates that gives shoppers a guidance about the situation.

How many NES and Hatchimals will be in Stock at ToysRUs

The ToysRUs store employees apparently do not know yet how many NES and Hatchimals. Customers who called stores have received no answer. We forecast a dozen to two dozen Hatchimals and NES in stock depending of the size of the ToysRUs location. The sale on Sunday does not necessarily mean that ToysRUs will not get more inventory of NES and Hatchimals during the week. Checking ToysRUs on Monday and later might win the prize.

Which Hatchimals will be in Stock at ToysRUs

The image of Hatchimals in the ToysRUs Weekly ad does not show the ToysRUs exclusive Owlicorn. It is not confirmed, but customers should expect to mostly find Draggles and Pengualas at their local ToysRUs store. Owlicorns have the highest resell value, as they are the hardest to find.

Where are ToysRUs Stores

To find a local ToysRUs store, customers can use the store locator at stores.toysrus.com.

ToysRUs recently increased the price of Hatchimals to $69.99. The ToysRUs weekly ad is not stating a price. It is assumed that the $69.99 price will be in effect on Sunday. The MSRP of Hatchimals is $59.99 and Walmart sold them as low as $48.88 in November.

ToysRUs NES and Hatchimals Updates

There has not been a single Hatchimals on sale online since Monday. The supply is still extremely constraint. The Hatchimals at the ToysRUs stores will be gone minutes after the stores open.

Update Dec 2: Jet.com sold Hatchimals for $199.99 on Friday. These prices are reseller level, but they inventory still sold out quickly.

The shortage of Hatchimals has created a buzzing reseller market. Hatchimals sell now for $200 on the Amazon Marketplace.

About Hatchimals

Spin Master basically took a Furby (for those who can remember what that is) and stuck it inside an egg. Hatchimals are "magical creatures" that already interact with your kids inside the egg. Each egg contains one of two interactive Hatchimals. Kids need to take care of the Hatchimal while its still inside until the rainbow eyes appear. That means its time to hatch. Hatchimals can't hatch on their own. Videos of Hatchimals hatching have gone viral on Youtube. Kids want Hatchimals because the saw commercials and the Hatchimals videos of the Youtube toy review kids.

Touch is guiding them to peck their way out of the egg. Once outside the egg owners raise the furry Hatchimal through 3 stages, from baby to toddler, to kid. The Hatchimal sings "Hatchy Birthday" each time it enters a new stage. Hatchimals can learn to walk, dance, play games and more. Hatchimals also repeat what you say in its own voice.

There several different kinds of Hatchimals that differ in color and kind of the creatures inside. There are also exclusive editions for stores like Walmart. Available Hatchimals include Hatchimals Draggles Blue/Purple Egg, Hatchimals Draggles Blue/Green Egg, Hatchimals Pengualas Pink Egg, Hatchimals Pengualas Pink/Teal Egg, and Hatchimals Burtle Purple/Teal Egg. More details about Hatchimals.

About NES

The Nintendo NES Classic is even more rare as the Hatchimals. There was some inventory at GameStop and Jet online on Wednesday. In the week prior no NES was on sale online. Target stores had been getting new stock in the past week, but very limited.

The $59.99 Nintendo NES Classic Edition console launched on November 11 in stores and online. The supply was extremely constraint in stores and especially online. Right now all stores are sold out of the retro 80s TV gaming console.

Even NES accessories are hard to come by. Resellers offer the NES on the Amazon marketplace are $230 and up.

Nintendo had now two weeks time to replenish retailers with NES Classic Edition consoles. There is no update from Nintendo on the status of NES supply.

On launch day Nintendo said: "The Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition system is a hot item, and we are working hard to keep up with consumer demand. There will be a steady flow of additional systems through the holiday shopping season and into the new year. Please contact your local retailers to check availability."

The Target inventory of the NES is the first evidence of a new shipment of NES Classic Edition arriving in the United States.

The palm-sized NES console, retailing for $59.99 list price, features the classic Nintendo NES controller many geeks have grown up with. The retro console comes pre-installed with 30 classic NES games including Super Mario Bros., Pac-Man, Metroid, Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda and Kirby's Adventures. The NES Classic Edition system is a miniaturized version of the groundbreaking NES, originally released in 1985.

The NES Classic Edition comes only with a single wired controller. There are 3rd party controllers and accessories that make the NES more fun to use. Gamers can get additional controllers and even wireless controllers.
