NES Classic in Stock at ToysRUs Stores, the Latest

Shoppers have spent the night in front of ToysRUs stores across the Nation to score a NES Classic.

Update: NES sold out at ToysRUs in minutes after the stores opened at 8am. We had reports of lines as long as 300 people. Many lines had 100 shoppers at TRU stores.

There has not been a report from the line that said that store had more than 30 NES in stock. This meant that shoppers who have not been at the front of the line missed out. Taking 30 as average inventory for each TRU store, than Nintendo supplied ToysRUs with less than 26,000 units. Nintendo just fails to live up to the hype around this easy to make TV console.

The NES Classic has been restocked at ToysRUs on Sunday. The hype about the ToysRUs sale of NES is staggering. A ToysRUs store in Merrillville, Indiana, had 162 people in line at 7am local time.

The crowd dispersed after they realized that the store had only 30 NES in stock. This TRU store is not the only one we hard had a line with more than hundred people. The Watchung, NJ, TRU store had over 100 in line before doors opened.

The ToysRUs in San Antonio, TX had a line of 50-60 people at 5am. The store got 18 NES classic consoles in stock. The manager stated each store in the city received the same amount according to an email we received.

A ToysRUs in Austin, Texas had the longest line we heard about so far. Over 300 people have been waiting line. The ToysUs didn't let customers in until 8:10 and sold out in 3 minutes. The store had only 20 NES Classic in stock.

We have broken the story that ToysRUs will have Hatchimals on Sunday before it was big news. The hype doubled as ToysRUs stores will also have the hard to find Nintendo NES Classic in stock on Sunday.

The lines started Saturday afternoon and shoppers spent the night at the ToysRUs parking lot despite of the cold weather. The line at the ToysRUs in Newport News, Virginia started at 2pm. "I am 15th in a line of about 40 people now at 9:30pm," Chas told I4U News in an email. The ToysRUs manager told the line that the store has about 30 Nintendo NES Classic in stock.

Not all ToysRUs stores got NES in stock or had much less than 30 available. The TRU stores are sold out by now as its past 8am ET. The one per customer limit kept away some prospectors, but a $150 profit on on is too tempting.
