For the third year in a row, Avocados from Mexico will have one of their iconic Super Bowl ads. that focus on health and wellness.

For many companies, getting even one Super Bowl ad in its lifetime will be expensive and enough, but Avocados from Mexico has seen the benefits of these ads and continues to place them.

"The landscape for us still suggested that this was going to be one of the better options for us to get our story out in a quality way, with quality amounts of reach," said Kevin Hamilton, director of marketing at Avocados From Mexico to AdAge.

The messages show the importance of "good fats" in avocados in the 30-second spots that seem to be one of the favorites each year. Sometimes celebrities will appear. The nutrition information will be key to the sales of the brand, as the U.S Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) plans to use the word "healthy" in nutrition recommendations.

Hamilton didn't share what the ideas were for the spot. In 2015, they showed a prehistoric, football-style draft of animals and plans with Doug Flutie and Jerry Rice. In 2016, they used an alien tour guide showing a Rubik's cube, actor Scott Baio, and avocados.

The Mexican Hass industry will probably do something in a similar vein this year. They did say that the 30-second spot will appear during the first commercial break of the game. The earlier airings are better because people are paying attention.

Mr. Hamilton said that this is all part of a broader idea, "Our approach is again one that is more campaign-based than ad-based. We recognize that in today's world your approach has to be one that is all encompassing," Mr. Hamilton said. "It needs to have a complete 360 approach."
