A total of 744,437 Toyota Sienna have been recalled in order to fix a problem that is related to their sliding doors. The Sienna minivans belonging to model 2011-2016 have been recalled.

Al of these minivans are recalled due to the fact that their sliding doors might not remain close at any point when the vehicle is being driven. All of these Sienna minivans have been recalled from United States of America.

It was also reported that around 1200 new Sienna vans are not getting sold out due to this complaint too. The un-sold vans are recalled in this fix recall too. The dealers are directed to not sale these vehicles until they are given the proper inspection by Toyota officials.

The problem was reported to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration by a number of people. According to the complaint, the sliding door of the minivan which is power operated can defy opening when commanded at times.

This results in remaining the door frozen shut at number of times even when the command of opening it was given. Another problem found with the power sliding door was that it had the tendency to open on its own even it was shut properly.

This can result in dangerous consequences if the vehicle is moving and going in a fast speed too. Anybody sitting with the door or with in its radius can fall out of the moving vehicles resulting in a lot of problems. So far no injuries or deaths have been reported.

It is expected that the company will officially send notices to concerned owners of this model by January 21st, 2017. The number that is devoted to this recall by company is G04.
