Audi is working these days on its self-parking technology that will be introduced in its cars in the coming future. For this purpose the company has specially designed a mini Q2 on which the technology of self-parking is being tested these days.

The car that is being tested is an electric model of the compact crossover by Audi. The technology that is used in thus car will be scaled up for original sized cars when it’s finalized.

Audi has formulated a model according to which it will assist the car to be parked on its own. Thus model comprises of various components including two mono cameras.

One of these cameras will be facing forward while the other one will be facing at the rear side of car. There are 10 ultra-sonic sensors that are mounted around the body of crossover.

According to the company, all the data will be gathered and then sent to the on board computer that will use this information. This information will be processed later on to figure out the parking space and the steps to take out in order to park accurately.

According to Audi, the Audi Electronics Venture will later on formulate the original size model in order to transfer it to the full sized cars where the technology will be used.
