Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars and The Weeknd light up the Victoria’s Secret fashion show with electrifying performances.

Victoria’s Secret is one of the most watched and famous fashion shows in the world. The event showcases models from all over the world featuring the world's bestselling lingerie. A lot of glamour and style goes into each piece that is modeled and the models all have their unique style and vigor.

CBS broadcasted the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2016 Monday night at 10pm ET on TV. For the first time, the Victoria’s Secret models visited Paris, the city of love to show off the newest lingerie creations of Victoria's Secret. The biggest fashion show on Television features over 50 of the world's top models.

One of the most integral parts of the fashion show is the music. In the beginning the show only featured background music but the trend changed gradually to feature live performances from the hottest singers and performers.

This year, the show had a line-up comprising of this season’s best singers including Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars and The Weeknd. All the stars have had recent album releases; Lady Gaga’s ‘Joanne’, Bruno Mars’ ‘24K Magic’ and The Weeknd’s ‘Starboy’. All the singles performed songs from their respective albums for the show.

Lady Gaga, being the only female performer, was allowed backstage with the models. She was given her own booth backstage with the models. She was the first singer to feature in this year’s show. She sang her ballad ‘Million Reasons’ while the Road Ahead collection was featured. The singer looked beautiful as she embodied visual art by striking one pose after another as models came and went from the ramp.

The next performance was by Bruno Mars. Bruno dressed up exactly as the lyrics of his hit single 24K Magic; “Wearing Cuban links, Designer minks, Inglewood's finest shoes”. With his trope wearing tuxes, the star stepped out to perform his single ‘Chunky’ from 24K Magic while the Pink collection was shown.

Bruno stayed at the back of the stage with his trope and backup singers as he sang the upbeat song and the models moved to the beat. Bruno then stepped out to the ramp midway through the song and moved with the models as they came and went around him.

The Weeknd took the stage next. This was his second time taking the stage and this time he was set to perform his title song for the album, “Starboy”. The singer kept it classy in black attire with a big silver cross. He worked the stage as the models came out.

The most prominent part of his performance was perhaps when his recent ex-girlfriend, model Bella Hadid walked by him in a silver corset piece and they looked at each other and smiled at each other. He kept the performance interactive and had the crowd clapping by the end of the song as the last of the model went back.

Lady Gaga took the ramp next with a medley. Starting with her single from Joanne, AYO; she danced with her back dancers to give an electrifying performance that had the crowd amped up. With a quick wardrobe change, she wore a black hat over her black leather outfit with beads hanging all the way to the tip of her six-inch heels.

She sang “John Wayne” from Joanne as the Dark Angel collection was modelled. By the end of the performance, she got rid of the hat and put on a white jacket as the last of the models came out including Joan Smalls wearing the biggest wings of the show at the end. As Joan walked off, Lady Gaga strutted down the ramp with her own model walk and posed.

As she walked back to electric guitar solo, she riled up the crowd and the entire show was just electrified. Adding more, a feathered white set of wings popped up to signify her as an honorary Angel. The energy was off the charts as she went backstage to mark the end of the performance.

A tough act to follow, Bruno Mars took the ramp again and this time he went to working the ramp in his favor. Starting at the back, Bruno Mars and group sang his hit title track 24K Magic. Slowly, they advanced on the on the ramp.

Going side to side, popping their signature dance moves as models took the ramp again including Jasmine Tookes in this year’s Fantasy Bra. They made it all about the models as they reached the top of the ramp and even had the models and Angels busting a move. Lily Aldridge marked the end of the show.

At the end, all the models walked out and the trio of performers were applauded as they walked out to the ramp. With Lady Gaga in the middle, Bruno Mars and The Weeknd escorted her and as they took their bows in the middle of the ramp, they even bowed to her and they all went back to the ramp. It was a special show because it was in Paris this year and it was made extra special with these performers.

That is not the last of these performers however. Every year, the models and the Angels also feature in music videos featuring the songs of that year’s performers. This year, Lady Gaga was featured in the music video with the Angels and the models in her Victoria’s Secret version of Million Reasons.

The video showcases models and Angels throughout their journey to the show. From castings to fittings to backstage as they prepare to go on and moments after they get off. The video has captured the models excitement and nerves show starts and they wait for their turn in the spotlight.

The other video by Victoria’s Secret this year features the Victoria’s Secret Angels who are dancing and lip sync to Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic. Featuring the Angels in their Victoria’s Secret garb and having some fun as they enjoy the infectious track by Bruno Mars.

The video features Angels including; Josephine Skriver, RomeeStrijd, Candice Swanepoel, Jasmine Tookes, Sara Sampaio, Lais Ribeiro, Adriana Lima, Stella Maxwell, Taylor Marie Hill, Elsa Hosk and Martha Hunt.
