Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 teaser trailer breaks Marvel record of being the most watched teaser in 24 hours

After its premiere in the Brazil Comic Con, the teaser trailer for the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was released via multiple media platforms.

The 2014 hit that will go down in history as one of the surprise hits from Marvel became popular with its offbeat humor, alien antics, 60s, 70s and 80s music and the collection of the rogue heroes that ultimately save the galaxy. The sequel for the movie has been much awaited especially when no Avengers’ movies seem to be in sight soon.

The teaser for the Guardians of the Galaxy received major views as it only gave the audience a glimpse of the movie. The teaser trailer however gives us a little bit more of the characters, some action that we can expect, the developing relationships between the characters, some new characters and last but not the least, Baby Groot.

The little plant based creature that sacrificed itself to save other was seen growing out of a pot in the first part. We see that having grown from then on, Baby Groot is a force to be reckoned with, with all his cuteness and the rage; Baby Groot maybe one of the major reasons that the teaser trailer has been viewed a recorded 81 million times in the first 24 hours of it’s release. That is 30 million times more than the views than the teaser that was released one month before.

The teaser trailer views are the most views for any teaser in the Marvel history and the second most viewed trailer after Captain America: Civil War with 90 million views in it first 24 hours. The record is expected to be broken with the release of the official trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2.
