Sony released the first teaser trailer for Spiderman Homecoming with Tom Holland’s Peter Parker and Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man cameo

Most of the critics agree that one of the highlights in this year’s Captain America Civil War was Spiderman cameo. Played by the young Tom Holland, Spiderman was a refreshing and youthful addition in the lineup alongside the Black Panther played by Chadwick Boseman. Shortly after, Sony bought the rights for the new Spiderman movie which was aptly titled Spiderman Homecoming and was confirmed to feature Tom Holland in the titular role of Spiderman/ Peter Parker and Zendaya as Mary Jane Watson and a cameo from Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man.

In Civil War, we found out that Tony Stark aka Iron Man found Peter through some footage in which Peter is captured doing some pretty amazing stunts. He has him tag along to subdue Captain America’s team with his super strength web. In that time we found out that he was strong enough to wield Captain America’s shield, do some pretty heavy lifting and be excited to see all his favourite super heroes. He is told to stay down at the end of the fight by Iron Man.

In the teaser trailer released by Sony ahead of the Jimmy Kimmel show, we find out what happened after the fight and what to expect from the summer slated movie. In the teaser trailer, we get a review of what he did in Civil War, with production credits rolling down to Demi Lovato’s Confident, we see Brooklyn where Peter is from. He is standing in his room and takes off his mask.

We hear him ask, “I get to keep the suit?” it turns out that the question is directed at Tony Stark as they sit together in the back on Tony’s car. Tony tells him of course because it doesn’t fit him. He then tells him to not do anything he would do, also not to do anything that he wouldn’t do. He indicates a grey area in between and he tells Peter that that’s where he will operate.

We then see a bank robbery with all the robbers wearing masks of Avengers. He greets them and declares that they are not the real Avengers following a badass fighting sequence. Tony tells him that he is not an Avenger in case he is wondering. Peter looks sad. Tony moves towards him and Peter hugs the older superhero. Tony tells him that he was getting the door for him, not hugging him. He wishes Peter luck.

Once that is cleared, cue in the bad guy for the movie and we hear Michael Keaton’s gruff voice saying that the world is changing as he suits up in his Vulture suit combined with a very heavy gun. The Vulture is seen flying in and people back away from a shattering glass case.

There are a few more explosions and we see Peter looking at something from afar in his suit. Tony leads him somewhere and we hear him tell the young hero to forget the flying monster guy. We see Peter in a burning building which had just exploded. Tony tells him that there are people who can take care of things like that.

Spiderman is seen climbing the Washington Monument. In a parallel scene, he is standing on his bed as he declares in anguish that he is sick of being treated like a kid. His friend reminds him that he is a kid. We see Spiderman atop the Monument as he looks back at the police helicopter behind him and poises to take a backflip which takes him over the helicopter. We also see webbed wings under his arms as he glides over the flying helicopter.

In the following montage, we see the Vulture and Spiderman in different shots. Vulture tells someone to not mess with him. a bus is pushed away, Peter smashes into a bus, Peter lying on the ground as Vulture’s voiceover says that he will kill him and everyone he loves and we see Marissa Tomei’s Aunt Jane in panic, someone slipping off while Peter holds them by his web, Laura Harrier’s Liz Allan looking up, Peter running, Vulture blowing up a cruise ship right from the middle and at the end Spiderman trying to hold together the two halves of the destroyed ship with his web. Just at the end, after the title, we see Spiderman and Iron Man going together in the same direction.
