Trump’s cronies have denied sending any questionnaire to the Energy Department regarding climate change scientists among its ranks.

Donald Trump’s team has denied that it sent any questionnaire to the Energy Department that requested the names of the climate change personnel working there. The disavowal says that the questionnaire was not a part of the standard protocol.

They also contend that the individual responsible for sending it has been advised accordingly. Trump and his team came under increased pressure and criticism for taking this drastic step, according to CNN.

The majority of climate change scientists contend that human activity especially the burning of fossil fuels leads to global warming. 97% of climate change scientists reiterate the fact that the the past century has not been good for the planet.

While humanity may have progressed, the rest of the earth and its species of plants and animals have regressed. Employees of the Energy Department who are looking into climate change are just doing their jobs with honesty and integrity. To snoop into who they are and what they are upto shows that Trump and his transition team are up to no good.

The inquiry has generated a heated debate regarding the very heart and soul of climate change science. The topmost Democratic legislators sent a letter to Pence, who will be Vice President in the future, regarding the Trump administration’s plans which seem to be sneaky at best.

The concerned lawmakers said that while Trump had the right to select whomsoever he wanted to be in his cabinet, this was an abuse of power which he has committed by sending a questionnaire to the Energy Department. It is nowhere written in the constitution that Trump has this much authority.

As for the Obama administration which is still extant (though in its last throes) it plainly rejected Trump’s overture to the Energy Department. Trump’s views on climate change are shady.

His wavering over whether it is a hoax still remains the bone of contention between him and other more reasonable people at the top. The people he has hand-picked to lead the Energy Department and EPA are not big fans of environmentalism.

The science of climate changes says one thing and Trump says something else. It is indeed a race against time to stop Trump from inflicting lasting damage on the fragile planet by his support of the coal industry and other plans to “Make America Great Again”.
