The Oculus Rift Headset Can Now Play Xbox One Games

Are your lucky enough to have an Oculus Rift running on a powerful Windows 10 PC? Do you also have an Xbox One or Xbox One S with spectacular gaming content which runs on the windows 10? If the answer to both of these questions is yes then you are bound to be interested in the new X Box One Streaming app in the Oculus Store.

This app lets you play Xbox One games directly on the Oculus Rift. Microsoft had promised this to happen in December and it has done so in time. Who would want to play on a 50 inch screen when the Oculus Rift can provide you an immersive, almost unlimited virtual experience?

You just simply have to download the Xbox One Streaming app on your PC. Then connect your Xbox One console to the app on your PC. You will see the titles come to life on the Rift’s screen. One of the highlights of the Xbox One streaming app for Oculus Rift is that it allows multiple consoles to be connected if they happen to be on the same network.

You will be able to enjoy the exact same experience you normally get but will be enjoying the Oculus Rift virtual theatre at the same time. The games and game play will be exactly the same but the display of the Rift will be used to project the content to the player.

However you will be able to make use of additional functionality which usually isn’t present in a normal gaming environment. You can bring the screen closer to your eyes; change the screen from flat to curve and so on.
