EA Sports Madden NFL 17 Super Bowl LI Sim Has Patriots Winning

Game predicts Tom Brady as Super Bowl MVP

Each year a simulation game between the teams playing in the Super Bowl is run using the EA Sports Madden NFL video game. You might think that this is nothing more than a way for EA to push a video game, but the simulation has been surprisingly accurate over the years. In fact the game correctly predicted the final score and that the Patriots would overcome a 10-point third quarter deficit last year.

The 2015 prediction even came within three yards of predicting the receiving yardage total of Julian Edelman. This year the prediction from the game has the Patriots winning Super Bowl LI. If the sim is correct, it would make Patriots quarterback Tom Brady the only quarterback to win five Super Bowl titles. Madden NFL 17 also predicts that Tom Brady will be chosen as the Super Bowl MVP making him the most decorated player in Super Bowl history.

The prediction has the Falcons in the lead at half 17-10. The Falcons hold the lead going into the fourth quarter with a 24-20 lead. Brady hits a touchdown to Julian Edelman to win the game with less than four minutes to go. If this year's Madden simulation game turns out to be as accurate as last year's, this will be an exciting Super Bowl.

If you are a football and video game fan, Madden NFL 17 can be purchased for $20 until February 6 via Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network. The game is available for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, and PS3 consoles.
