iPhone 8 Will Feature True Tone Display

With Samsung Galaxy S8 officially announced, all the concern has now shifted to iPhone 8. Resources fight over authenticity of each other’s reports while numerous other rumors keep surfacing daily. One rumor which is unanimously agreed upon by most of the resources is that Apple has 3 new iPhone models in their line-up this year. iPhone 7S, iPhone 7S Plus, and the iPhone 8 (or iPhone X) being those three.

Of these three, iPhone 8 is expected to be the real horseman out of these three models. Not only that, even the rumors specifically point to iPhone 8 as this year’s most advanced handset in Apple’s line-up with high-end features, top-notch performance and fancy design. For instance, the “truly bezel-less” front panel in iPhone 8 eliminates even the remotest possibilities of a physical home button, while rumors highly suggest that a function bar (or function area) will take place under the screen where the physical button used to be.

Many popular analysists second these rumors of a function area feature in the upcoming iPhone 8. Barclays specifically, also highly suggests that iPhone 8 will also be featuring a “complete spectral sensing” system for its display. Those who are unclear with the terminology, the spectral sensing system is the core component required to achieve “True Tone” display. True Tone display is basically a brightness/contrast management system which inputs the light data from the environment using these sensors.

The system then configures the sharpness, brightness, contrast, and temperature of the display screen to match with the lighting of the environment. It’s really an amazing feature in the 9.7-inch iPad Pro and people who have experienced it would unconditionally fall in love with iPhone 8 if it features the True Tone display.
