There are several big-name releases linked to Project Scorpio, a significant upgrade in gaming that may have brought many games to Microsoft's newest platform. Set for a late 2017 release, these game titles include "Red Dead Redemption 2," "Forza Motorsport 7," "Star Wars Battlefront II" and "FIFA 18," many of which are extremely highly anticipated. They hope to demonstrate what Xbox Scorpio is capable of and bring in new fans.

"Forza Motorsport 7" is the headline title, at least according to a list from Windows Central, who has an inside look at the marketing materials centering on the console. Some of the other exclusive games include "Crackdown 3," a popular game that has super-powered police officers, zombies, and a great city to run around in. This is an exclusive for Microsoft for now.

The list also includes quite a few titles that weren't developed by Microsoft, but by developers and creators who may become key partners with Microsoft up to and after the release of Project Scorpio.

"Red Dead Redemption 2" is a western action game that comes from the same group as "Grand Theft Auto," so fans are waiting to see what that will look like. Activision's "Call of Duty" also made the list, reverting to a WWII theme. Of course, there is also the addition of "Star Wars Battlefront II," which is also set for a late 2017 release. The trailer for that one comes at the Star Wars Celebration.

"FIFA Soccer" is another name coming to the console, which means that the Madden franchise shouldn't be too far behind.

Over the course of the next year, Scorpio will be beta-tested privately and undergo some changes, just like the other consoles did. Microsoft really does want to get on top with this console, so they won't stop until they are prepared to put out the best console possible. They have some ground to make up, but details from the inside say that they are fully confident.

In the next few weeks, expect the marketing campaign to pick up for Project Scorpio - hopefully with a lot of details.
