It seems like the Xbox Scorpio is going to be scared out of hiding just a little earlier than expected. While many people expected that the console will be the highlight of E3 2017, it doesn't seem like that is going to be the case. There are now reports that the console's spec sheet will be announced far earlier than the June expo - in fact, they could be announced as early as this week.

Project Scorpio will feature HEVC and VP9 codecs for decoding 4K streams and HEVC for encoding 2160p, 60 frame-per-second (FPS) video, making it one of the most beautiful graphics and images heavy consoles of all time. As of right now, we aren't sure about any of the other specs for this console. We do know it will have upgraded 4K gameplay.

It is touted as "the most powerful console ever created," which makes the specs even more highly anticipated than they would have been. Some other early specs show 6 teraflops of GPU and a support for virtual reality, according to Express.

We aren't expecting to get much more out of the announcement, we definitely won't get a visual. Still, rumors spread like wildfire through fan circles that this will be a smaller console. An unannounced leading media outlet will preview the system with Forza 7 used to demonstrate the capabilities.

Some questions include what CPU will run the gaming machine? It is rumored that it will used the latest Ryzen CPU, but that is just a guess from somewhere on the internet.
