Comcast has big plans for the future. It is to start its Xfinity Mobile service on a nominal rate of $65 per monthly basis.

After years of remaining in the pipeline and being a concept only, Comcast’s wireless phone service is about to become a real thing. It will go by the name of Xfinity Mobile. Its launch date is somewhere in the near future.

However, there is a catch. It will not be available everywhere. Only Comcast’s existing customer will be able to access this luxury. A bigger bundle lies in the cards for TV, landline and Internet users.

Most of the clientele will be able to subscribe to the service on an unlimited data basis for $65 per month. For those who want the deal on the more expensive X1 TV platform, they will have to shell out only $45 per month. Also a pay-as-you-go service will be available at $12 per gigabyte.

These rates are more economical than the usual run-of-the-mill wireless packages. Comcast plans on adding a few perquisites to attract a larger customer base. Arbitrary customer line availability fees will not be charged.

Also families will have the service on the unlimited plan while others can subscribe to the pay-as-you-go platform. Besides this, the latter may switch to the former at the drop of a hat in the middle of the month.

There will simply be no penalties to this sort of whimsical behavior. Could anyone want anything else? Plus 24/7 support via text messages will be available.

Smartphones from such giants as Apple, Samsung and LG will be bolstered by the new service once it gets into gear. Comcast has something in store for everyone. Furthermore, instead of having its own cell towers, it will be renting wireless space from none other than Verizon.

Comcast’s service will thus be available throughout the length and breadth of the United States. Since Comcast has to pay some hefty amounts of cash to Verizon, it is looking forward to pushing its customers into Wi-Fi territory.

Comcast’s huge hub of 16 million Wi-Fi hotspots will be something the clientele can access anytime. The phones that Comcast will link with its Xfinity Mobile will be able to hook up with a nearby Wi-Fi hotspot in a fraction of a second.

The data will flow in a smooth manner and its speed will be super-fast. Although this experiment in connectivity has been tried before, this is the first time it will be a real success and wildly popular too. This shows that there is always room for improvement and that Comcast will prove its excellence in this field via its Xfinity Mobile service.
