The most noteworthy debuts taking place at one of the most important events in the auto industry

The upcoming New York Auto show 2017 is still two weeks away but we have rounded up all the new cars set to make their debut:

2018 Volvo XC60
Volvo will be introducing the redesigned XC60 for the first time in the American market. The 2018 model year Volvo XC60 will be offered in an array of versions such as the T5, T6 and T8 Twin Engine. The T5 version will come with a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4, capable of producing more than 250 horsepower. Similarly the T6 version will have a supercharged along with a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4 engine capable of producing 316 horsepower. On the other hand the T8 Twin Engine will have a plug-in hybrid powertrain powered by a supercharged and turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4 engine. The hybrid powertrain will consist of an electric motor capable of producing 400 horsepower. Other enhanced features include a partial self-driving system capable of accelerating, decelerating and steering. Trims offered in the Volvo XC60 will include the sporty R-Design, standard Momentum and upmarket Inscription.

Nissan GT Track Edition
Nissan will debut its GT-R Track Edition on American soil at the 2017 New York auto show. The new Nissan GT Track Edition is equipped with the latest 3.8 liter twin turbo V6 engine which is capable of producing 565 horsepower. The GT Track Edition has a starting price of $127,990. The suspension of the GT Track is wholesome GT-R Nismo as it comes with three-stage adjustable Bilstein dampers. Similarly a hollow rear anti-roll bar has been inserted and there are Nismo wishbone links at the front. In the same way high-rigidity bolts help to further stiffen the suspension around the wheel hub.

2018 Dodge Challenger Demon
The 2018 Dodge Challenger Demon is a production version of a drag racing car. To further prove the point the Demon even comes with skinny front wheels which can be bolted on at the strip. The Demon will be powered by a supercharged and intercooled Hemi V-8 engine which can be found in the Challenger SRT Hellcat. The horsepower is estimated to surpass the Hellcat and be more than 815 hp along with a torque of 700 lb-ft, which will all be channeled through the rear wheels. The Demo will be equipped with a quartet of unique fender flares which widen the coupe by about 3.5 inches. According to Dodge more than 232 pounds will be removed in the Demon version of the Challenger which will be achieved by removing all the seats except for the driver’s.

Toyota FT-4X Concept
On Wednesday Toyota announced it will be bringing a new concept called the FT-4X at the upcoming New York auto show. According to Toyota the new FT-4X concept is a four wheeling and scene stealing vehicle. From the two words statement all we can derive is it will be an off-road-themed successor of the famous FJ40. Although Toyota did not exactly specify the kind of vehicle it will be but it did release an image of an off-road wheel measuring 225/55R18 which was set in a Goodyear rubber.

2018 Toyota Sienna
The new version of the Toyota Sienna minivan for 2018 will mark its debut at the New York Auto show. The 2018 Sienna comes with a redesigned front fascia, which consists of new lower grille and larger fog light compartments. Additionally new side lower rockers have been added to all the trim levels. Another new feature is a laminated front windshield which reduces noise along with a new acoustic front row side glass. The 2018 Sienna also comes with three new color choices; the Toasted Walnut Pearl, Alumina Jade Metallic and Parisian Night Pearl. Safety features include Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert and radar-guided cruise control. All these features have been added as a standard in the minivan. Other new features include the Entune 3.0 multimedia system. The interior comes with an updated 6.1-inch or 7.0-inch touchscreen. Similarly features such as USB, AUX, voice recognition, Bluetooth satellite radio and Siri Eyes free are all added.

Jeep Grand One Concept
Jeep will debut its all-new Jeep Grand One concept at the upcoming NY auto show. It will be part of the Jeep brand’s 2017 Easter Jeep Safari haul. Jeep released teaser pictures of the Grand One concept showing a lovely light-blue hue on a profile which is boxy and stays true to the original. However the Grand One has been modified with 18-inch gold wheels and fender flares. Other enhancements include subtle woodgrain-look siding along with a slightly restyled front and rear bumper. The Grand One will be fitted with a period-appropriate 5.2-liter V-8 engine along with a four-speed automatic transmission.

2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk
The all-new 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk will be marking its debut at the upcoming New York motor show slated to take place next week. According to Mike Manley, the head of the Jeep brand, their new offering is going to be quite a special vehicle. Rumor has it the new Trackhawk will be powered with a Hellcat motor. It is possible the Trackhawk will have an engine resembling a 6.2-liter V8 present in the Charger and Challenger Hell-twins which produce more than 707 horsepower. Changes include the absence of the fog lights in the lower grille vents while the rear fascia is more aggressive.
