Here Is Why Apple iPhone 8 May be Delayed

iPhone 8 may be delayed due to technical issues in 3D sensor

iPhone 8 has been the only center of attention in Apple’s line-up of upcoming products this year. Now, whether there will be two other iPhone models or not, doesn’t matter, iPhone 8 is what everyone will be saving for. Unfortunately, according to a recent rumor, Apple has run into some serious bugs with the 3D sensing technology which is supposed to be featured and debuting in iPhone 8 this year.

Due to these issues, this year’s range-topper in the line-up of iPhone models may not be launched before November this year. Apple recently developed the 3D sensing technology, an AR feature which works by capturing images from all the cameras onboard along with an infrared sensor. The data collected here will be compatible for 3D selfies and inside AR games.

3D sensing technology is only going to be featured in iPhone 8, so, if there are iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus in Apple’s upcoming products, they will be launched following the usual September timeframe. Reports from reliable resources stated that Apple has ordered 70 million OLED panels for iPhone from Samsung.

And the current report states that OLED panels will only be featured in iPhone 8, while iPhone 7s and 7s Plus will pack an LCD. Seems like Apple has projected a high sale for iPhone 8. What’s new other than the fore mentioned report is the return of another rumor, stating that iPhone 8 will be packing a smart connector. Smart connector has opened a tons of new possibilities which may take iPhone towards the modular smartphone field, where iPhone will be able to attach a top-notch camera, AR and VR equipment and whatnot.
