Nintendo’s new Direct is to release some new games such as ARMS and Splatoon 2 on the Switch.

Already the heyday of Zelda is history and Mario Kart 8 may get a makeover after a long time. That leaves everyone wondering and daydreaming regarding which novel game will be released on the Switch.

Nintendo certainly has news for everyone who is an avid gamer. It announced recently that a new Direct will introduce ARMS and Splatoon 2. These happen to be two of the most sought-after spring/summer releases of 2017.

The release dates are being decided. When ARMS was announced, everybody assumed that it was meant for the Switch. Yet this turned out to be an optical illusion. It was meant for spring release.

Splatoon 2 was meant for summer release, yet the date for it too remains a nebulous business. Switch will have to switch itself on and decide once and for all when the two games will be coming into the cyberspace universe.

Especially, Splatoon 2 will most probably be a great hit with the game-loving crowd of geeks and freaks. That is besides such other big fare as Breath of the Wild and Mario Odyssey. The original game received highly praiseworthy reviews. It is indeed quite a shock to find that they have produced a sequel at such short notice.

The evolutionary story of the game Splatoon 2 is an interesting one. It will be the ideal site for the testing of Nintendo’s online service. As for ARMS, it is a whole different ball game. It is more sophisticated than a boxing match. Yet it begs to be categorized with 1-2-Switch. It will thus be a plaything of the Joy-Cons. What its content will be is anyone’s lucky guess.

Whether the experience of playing ARMS is a memorable one or not will be something that only the culture consumers can decide on a final basis. It is a bit deep but it is also a miniature version of a bigger game. The Switch’s strong suit is that this game is played on TV/handheld mode. The chattering classes are going at it in an aggressive manner as these games get ready to enter consumer consciousness.

There is a rumor that we may not see much of both until June. Whatever the case, game enthusiasts will be holding on with a sense of anticipation for these two video games to appear on the horizon so they could play them till they get carpal tunnel syndrome.
