5 facts that you will like to know about after watching the Thor Ragnarok trailer which is full of spoilers

The Thor: Ragnarok trailer was just released without any warning and fans are loving the new Thor vibe. Being a somewhat serious and brooding Avenger, Thor movies have always fallen short from the glory that other Avenger standalone movies like Iron Man and Captain America have received. However, with the latest trailer for Thor: Ragnarok, it seems like Thor might have gotten a revamp which could lead to the last installment of Thor being a hit. Here are five facts that you would love to know about the Thor: Ragnarok trailer:

1. Trailer is a Hit
While Disney has made it a tradition of a kind to announce a date for the trailers of their upcoming movies, no warning was given for the Thor: Ragnarok trailer. The trailer release was unexpected. It came out of nowhere and it left fans stunned and wanting more. In the age of media streaming where success of the movie is first estimated by the success of its teasers and trailers, Thor: Ragnarok trailer just hit a major target. The trailer has been viewed 136 million times over 24 hours which is the highest record for any Disney or Marvel movie in history.

2. Hela Brings Destruction
The first intimidating thing of the trailer might not be Thor being dangled down by a chain. It is unnerving to watch Cate Blanchett’s dark haired villain Hela. With female villains being a rarity in the Marvel movies, one with Hela’s depicted powers is surely a refreshing site. She is powerful enough to break Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir to pieces, declare the end of Asgard and bring destruction to the whole of Asgard. She is also at one point depicted to defeat the Valkyrie. Did you check out her headgear, talk about antler-freaky!

3. What is Loki Up to?
In the second Thor movie, The Dark World; Loki appears to have tricked Thor into thinking that he has sacrificed himself to save Thor’s life when in fact, we see him ruling Asgard at the end. So we are a little curious about how Loki was alive and ruling. In a post credit scene of last year’s Doctor Strange, we saw Thor seeking the Doctor’s help to seek Loki. We do see the mischievous Norse god in the trailer but we can’t figure out what he is up to really. In the shot where Hela destroys Thor’s hammer, Loki seems to be standing next to Thor. In another scene on the fighting arena, he is sitting with the Grand Master and in one of the montage scene, he is seen in his combat gear complete with the helmet. Tom Hiddleston’s Loki has always been a fan favorite and it was awesome to see him in action once more.

4. Delving Deep into Comics
Marvel seems to have gone deep into the comics from Marvel universe to outline the story for Thor: Ragnarok. The trailer features a lot of characters and places from the comic books including Hela who is depicted very close to her comic book appearance, a sight of gun wielding Punisher is also caught played by Karl Urban, Thor ends up of the planet Sacar which is a wasteland ran by the Grand Master, one of the Elders of the Universe played by Jeff Goldblum. Sacar is occupied by a collection of weird citizens which was depicted in the comic book, Hulk Planet. It is complete with the scene where Hulk fights other warriors which is presented in the trailer as well.

5. Immigrant Song
If you have watched the trailer and wondering you might have heard that song somewhere before, you are right. The song featured in the trailer is none other than Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song”. The rock guitar sets an edgy introduction for Thor preparing the fans that Thor: Ragnarok is going to be nothing like they have ever seen before. The Immigrant Song might also be indicative of Thor’s immigration to Sacar when Asgard is destroyed.
