Tesla Motors is to introduce the Model 3 design soon and a pickup truck by the time 2019 rolls in. This all will take place under the able supervision of CEO, Elon Musk.

Within the next two years, Tesla Motors will be coming up with an electric pickup truck. At least, this is what it has in the pipeline for the long-term future. The CEO of the company, Elon Musk reported this much on his Twitter account recently.

The announcement for the pickup truck came at a time when other models such as the Roadster and Model S, which will cost you an arm and a leg, are being left behind in the quest for more economical vehicles.

Musk has labeled the pickup truck to be a new kind of thing. The successful streak of pickup trucks in the United States has led Tesla Motors to concentrate on this sort of heavy-duty vehicle. Besides the pickup truck, a lower cost compact SUV is also in the cards. This has been called the Model Y.

As for those with Model 3 pre-orders pending, there is good news indeed. This Model 3 will have its production version come out in July of 2017, according to TechCrunch. There have been rumors of multiple prototypes out in the streets surrounding the Tesla Motors headquarters.

The shipping schedule of the Model 3 is such that by the end of this year, most of the vehicles ought to be reaching those who gave pre-orders for them.

Musk is tantalizing his company’s customers by saying on his Twitter account that besides the Model 3, the Model S and Model X will be a couple of cars that will have the road rogues falling head over heels in love with them out of sheer excitement and exhilaration.

Whatever the case, Tesla is entering the trucking industry. Ready or not, it has full plans to conquer where it can. Elon Musk is a genius and he thinks boldly and beautifully.

The semi-truck will come on the scene in September of this year while the pickup truck as mentioned earlier on will come after a 24 month delay. Musk congratulated his company’s dedicated and diligent team of engineers.

They had indeed done a good job and one worthy of being commended in praiseworthy language. Musk will face a bit of competition in the trucking industry which is a new playing field for his company.

Yet there is every reason to believe that a group of people can accomplish anything they set their minds to provided they cooperate and act on a set plan.
