AMD Radeon RX500 Series Graphics Cards are Faster
  • AMD’s new RX500 series cards come with same price but greater performance

The top of the line card RX580 will feature a 1257Mhz base speed and a 1340Mhz boost speed

AMD just introduced its new line up of graphics cards called the Radeon RX500 series. The successors to the RX400 series are even better when it comes to power and affordability.

The new cards used for gaming PCs are not very different from their predecessors. But they offer greater performance by boosting clock speeds across the line. The good news is the price of the new lineup of cards remains the same.

The card at the top of the RX500 lineup is the RX580 which will have a 1257Mhz base speed and a 1340Mhz boost speed.

The speed has improved from 1120 MHz base and 1266 MHz boost featured on the RX480. Similarly the RX570 features a 1168MHz base and a 1266MHz boost speed, which is up from the previous 926MHz and 1206MHz on the RX470, according to The Verge.

Finally the RX560 will now feature a 1175MHz base and a 1275MHz boost speed. The speeds have been increased from 1090MHz and 1200MHz on the RX460.

The biggest draw, the same price tags, are $229 for the RX580, $199 for the RX580, $169 for RX570, and $99 for the RX560. The RX580 card comes with 8GB of RAM, the RX580 with 4GB, the RX570 with 4GB, and the RX560 has 2GB of RAM. All cars of the RX500 line will be launched this week except for the RX560 which will be delayed until next month.

According to The Tech Report review the RX580 and RX570 cards bridge the little gaps which existed between RX400-series cards and the Nvidia chips. That’s not all AMD will also introduce a relatively cheaper card in its new lineup called RX550 soon, with 1183MHz boost speed and 2GB of RAM, for $79 only.
