The concept will be formally introduced on Wednesday at the 2017 Shanghai Auto Show. The concept showcases a brilliant looking EV which is supposed to become a part of Audi line up in year 2019.

As Audi has plans to introduce more and more electric vehicles by the year 2022, thus the company is making sure that new EVs are included each year in the lineup.

The e-tron Sportback concept will be joining the lineup in 2019 which is a year after e-tron SUV will be arriving in markets. The Sportback is supposed to be a coupe like alternative of the SUV.

The e-tron Sportback concept can be easily distinguished by its sloping roofline and a lift back rear. The roof of the e-tron Sportback concept will sit lower than that of e-tron Quattro concept revealed in 2015.

It will use Volkswagen Group’s C-BEC electric car platform. This platform is made in such a way that it has one of its motors mounted to the front axle and two motors mounted at the rear axle. It will be offered in a rear wheel drive system.

We are looking forward to have an output of almost 430bhp. The vehicle will have the ability to go from 0-62mph in mere 4.5 seconds. Its top speed is 130mph. It will make use of a 96kWh lithium-ion battery for power. Audi says that it will provide a range of almost 310 miles for this Sportback.
