Namco is going to bring back a large collection of its 80s arcade favorites back on the Nintendo Switch this year. They will be using the Switch to debut something completely new and fresh: the Namco Museum.

The collection will contain all of the games that make you completely nostalgic for the taste of Kool-Aid, including Pac-Man, Dig Dug, Galaga and Galaga '88. There will be tons of other games as well, including some that were great but weren't as popular at the time. They will fix any problems or bugs that occurred in the original games.

According to Eurogamer, you will be able to play the games and then post your scores online, competing against players from around the world via the online ranking systems. You will even be able to turn your Switch vertically to get that arcade gaming experience that so many of us miss.

Namco Museum hasn't announced a launch date quite yet, but it is expected sometime this summer. While we don't have a complete list, these have been announced:

  • Pac-Man
  • Dig Dug
  • Galaga
  • Galaga '88
  • The Tower of Druaga
  • Rolling Thunder
  • Rolling Thunder 2
  • SkyKid
  • Splatterhouse
  • Tank Force

There hasn't been an announcement about a Virtual Console for the Switch.
