NES Classic Stock Pops Up at Walmart Stores

This morning about a hundred Walmart stores are flagged to have the NES Classic in stock.

The discontinued NES Classic Edition might be in stock at a Walmart store near you this morning. There are about a hundred Walmart stores. Walmart did not have the NES Classic in stock in weeks. iStockNow issued in stock alerts for Walmart stores across the Nation.

We have cross referenced the iStockNow alerts with the BrickSeek. On BrickSeek some stores are marked with limited stock, but with count 0. We also checked the flagged stores on

The stores that are marked to have the NES Classic in stock have in the search results the NES Classic show up as out of stock. Walmart stores not reported to have the NES in stock do not have the NES Classic in the inventory search result.

At this point it is not clear if the iStockNow information is correct. The only way to find out is to visit one of the flagged Walmart stores and see if the $59.99 NES Classic is in stock.

The lowest priced Nintendo NES Classic console sells for $299 on A trip to your local Walmart store can mean a $240 saving or profit, depending on which side you are in the NES hunting game.

Nintendo said that there are still new NES Classic consoles coming in April to retailers. So far that has not really happened and we reported yesterday that there is likely no new inventory coming. If the NES Classic restocking is really happening than there is hope again that more NES Classic inventory is coming in April.

The $59.99 Nintendo NES Classic Edition console launched on November 11 in stores and online. The supply was extremely constraint in stores and especially online. On April 13, Nintendo announced to stop production of the NES Classic Edition. The last shipments of the NES Classic arrive through April.

The palm-sized NES console, retailing for $59.99 list price, features the classic Nintendo NES controller many geeks have grown up with. The retro console comes pre-installed with 30 classic NES games including Super Mario Bros., Pac-Man, Metroid, Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda and Kirby's Adventures. The NES Classic Edition system is a miniaturized version of the groundbreaking NES, originally released in 1985.

The ability to mod the NES Classic and install an unlimited number of games has renewed the hype around the retro console. The latest hack enables the NES Classic to store 2,500 games.

The 80s retro console launched on November 11, 2016. As of December 31, 2016, Nintendo has sold 1.5 million NES Classic Edition. New official NES Classic sales numbers for 2017 are expected to be released on April 27. Read the latest Nintendo NES Classic updates.
