  • McLaren hints at a 4-seater, though the 4-doors option just won’t be it!

The company rules out the production of a 4-door car.

McLaren is known for producing extravert two seater cars. However from the past few months, a rumor was in town that the company might be comparing up with a new variant. It was being said that we might get to see a 4-door and 4-seater McLaren in the near future.

The most practical model by McLaren is 570GT. It has a little more storage space than that of the ordinary ones. The extra storage space can be seen at the top of the engine bay. This model is however two seater.

Its means that McLaren do not have any option in the pocket that could compete with Ferrari’s GTC4 Lusso. Lusso is a four seater. On the other hand Lamborghini is also introducing the Urus SUV which is also going to have four seats and might be an option of a fifth one, according to MotorAuthority.

This means that all the luxury supercar makers are expanding their horizons by introducing the four seater cars. This is the reason that it was rumored that McLaren will offer a four seater and four door car as well.

However the recent interview of McLaren CEO, Mike Flewitt suggests otherwise. He said that there might be an option of a four seater McLaren in future. Though he totally denied the fact that there would be any chance of a 4-door McLaren in the near future. Well that’s surely a loss for many who were anticipating such model.

He also said that the company will look into the market demands of such cars. He added that a 4-door car will require a longer wheel base. This can make the cars loose the agility for which they are famous. McLaren is though launching three seater cars in a few years.
