The end of the Nintendo NES Classic Edition is here. The last NES Classic stock is available only at a few stores. Updated.

The NES Classic sale at Best Buy stores on Monday was surprisingly big. We estimate that Best Buy sold through about 7,500 to 10,000 NES Classic units as almost all of the 1,000 Best Buy stores had the NES in stock. NES Classic inventory at the stores ranged from 5 to 20.

But what now? Where can retro video gaming fans find a NES Classic in stock in the last days of April? Nintendo said that the last NES Classic shipments reaches US retailers in April.

The remaining stores to find a NES Classic in stock for the regular $59.99 price is the Nintendo flagship store in New York. The store has sold the NES Classic on a regular basis. The daily inventory was 50 units deep in the past. There are reports that the store is continuing to sell the NES Classic this week.

Shoppers need to line up early in the morning at Manhattan's historic Rockefeller Center to have a chance to score a NES Classic. The Nintendo store has strict policies on how many NES Classic consoles people can buy to fend of scalpers. The store is not announcing the NES Classic sales, but they do release a schedule for Nintendo Switch restocking events.

Amazon has continued yesterday to offer the NES Classic on Amazon Prime Now. The NES Classic was in stock only for Chicago and Dallas. On Tuesday, April 26 at 10:15am ET, the NES Classic was in stock for Columbus, OH. Inventory was sold out in a minute.

The frequency of NES Classic offers on Amazon's local delivery service has slowed down compared to earlier this month. It appears that Amazon is reaching the bottom of its stashed away NES Classic inventory.

Some people had luck to score the NES Classic at a Fry's store. The electronics retailer charges though $99.99 for the NES Classic. Still a bargain though if you can find it in stock at a local Fry's

There is still a chance that a retailer will surprise with a last minute NES Classic sale this week. We will continue to monitor the availability of the NES Classic.

Update: The Nintendo NES Classic got restocked at over 100 Walmart Stores on Tuesday, April 26. Shoppers already scored a NES at 24h Walmart locations. Lining up early at flagged store will be necessary to score a coveted $59.99 NES Classic.

The reseller prices for the Nintendo NES Classic keep steady at around $300. Prices are likely to rise further in May, when the sale of the NES Classic will have completely stopped.

The $59.99 Nintendo NES Classic Edition console launched on November 11 in stores and online. The supply was extremely constraint in stores and especially online. On April 13, Nintendo announced to stop production of the NES Classic Edition. The last shipments of the NES Classic arrive through April.

The palm-sized NES console, retailing for $59.99 list price, features the classic Nintendo NES controller many geeks have grown up with. The retro console comes pre-installed with 30 classic NES games including Super Mario Bros., Pac-Man, Metroid, Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda and Kirby's Adventures. The NES Classic Edition system is a miniaturized version of the groundbreaking NES, originally released in 1985.

The ability to mod the NES Classic and install an unlimited number of games has renewed the hype around the retro console. The latest hack enables the NES Classic to store 2,500 games.
