The tech giant just formulated a team to focus on autonomous technology development

A number of technology Kings have started their own projects that are focusing on autonomous driving from the past year. Major companies that are proficient in technology and are working in this domain include Apple and Alphabet.

Now one of the biggest tech giants, Amazon has decided to indulge in some autonomous technology development as well. For this purpose the company has just formulated a team of experts who will work on different domains of the driverless technology, according to WSJ.

The team though formulated is pretty small and roughly comprises of 12 individuals. The team was actually selected a year back when they started exploring the possibilities of working on autonomous vehicles.

However we ae not sure if we will see the Amazon driverless vehicles any time soon on the roads. It might just be a test project to look for opportunities associated with autonomous technology.

According to MarketWatch, this group is actually a think tank that will focus on ways Amazon will be able to benefit from autonomous technology. We might see some new steps taken by the company to improve the online business through these autonomous cars.

It has been seen that Amazon is pushing rally hard to make sure that it gets the best services in order to offer the delivers of products at time. The company has bought a flying jet and has been working with an ocean freight as well, according to Engadget.

This shows Amazon’s dedication to customer services. Thus indulging in the pool of autonomous technology might be the sign of that as well.

We might not see a new autonomous vehicle by company in market but we are certainly hoping to see some autonomous related services provided by the company soon.
